2013 Memorable Moments

There’s still a couple more days before we share our 2014 goals with each other. This year has been exceptionally difficult for us to keep quiet until the night of 12/31.

In addition to our yearly goals, which made for amazing memories, we did a few other eventful things this year. Here are some of our 2013 highlights:

Got fancy for an unofficial Inaugural ball

Lyssa's new zen office space at home. Lyssa started working from home twice a week and is forever grateful for her organization and managers for being so flexible. — Lyssa’s new zen home office space

Kris traveled to Mount Rushmore

Kris met President Obama — Kris met President Obama (a goal, but a major mic drop moment, so it had to be included)

We had a pizza-off — We had a pizza cook-off

We discovered a forrest near our house and explored it during a snow storm

Lyssa got a bad short haircut, then tried to fix it herself. — Lyssa got a really bad short haircut, then tried to unsuccessfully fix it herself.

Lyssa had to pay $90 to get her haircut fixed. — Lyssa had to pay an additional $90 to get her bad haircut fixed

We were featured on the cover of the Washington Post (mic drop of the year) — We were featured on the cover of the Washington Post (second mic drop moment of the year)

We went to the NYC public library

Brooklyn Bridge — We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge for the first time

pdt speakeasy nyc — We went to a speakeasy for the first time

NYC Easter Parade — We got dressed up in ’40s style clothes and walked in the NYC Easter Parade

White house basketball court — Kris played on the White House basketball court

meeting big show — Kris met Big Show

We hiked Great Falls on an unseasonably cold day in May

We tasted a lot of wine in 2013

Monticello visit — We visited Monticello

finger tattoos — We celebrated our five-year wedding anniversary and Lyssa surprised Kris with these tattoos (her first).

dogs with beards — Curly got a goatee

We went to Pittsburgh — We went to Pittsburgh and prom-posed on top of Mount Washington like bosses

We drove on Skyline Drive for the first time together

Rucker Park in Harlem — Kris went to Rucker Park in Harlem

Kris went to the All-Star game for work

Niagara falls — We took a Canadian road trip. First stop was Niagara Falls.

Kris met up with an old high school friend while in Canada

top of the cn tower — We went to the top of the CN Tower

We had drinks at a fancy shmancy bar in Toronto

We traveled to Montreal

quebec city — We went to Quebec City

Lyssa ate three pounds of this pizza

Spent time with family — Spent quality time with family

Lyssa turned 30 and toasted her youth goodbye

Lyssa drove her father-in-law's vintage bug — Lyssa drove her father-in-law’s vintage bug a few times this year

We drank too much wine — Lyssa drank too much wine

Kris went to a Packers/Baltimore game and went on the sideline

We had an impromptu dance/glow stick party — We had an impromptu dance/glow stick party… by ourselves

We visited Arlington National Cemetery on the anniversary of JFK's death — We visited Arlington National Cemetery on the anniversary of JFK’s death

We drank Johnnie Walker Blue

Kris' birthday was on Thanksgiving and we celebrated that too — Kris’ birthday was on Thanksgiving and we celebrated that too
